WARN RT25 12V DC ATV Winch Once you've purchased your new Yamaha Grizzly 700, or even a nice used 660 from just a few years ago, chances are you, like many before you will begin thinking about some of the accessories available for your new ATV. While Yamaha does carry a big lineup of parts and accessories for your Grizzly, don't overlook the aftermarket providers. The popularity of Yamaha's Grizzly, due in part to its versatility is the reason so many aftermarket parts exist. For what is possibly the single largest necessity for a trail-bound ATV, it's a wonder that Yamaha hasn't integrated the unity directly into the Grizzly. That part is, of course, a winch. While many riders would like to claim that they've never needed one, the truth is that they want one because in the back of their mind, they're thinking about that last time they went out by themselves, and the need to lie through their teeth came about. Warn, a manufacturer of winches for both ATV and automotive applications offers several different winches that will bolt quickly to the Grizzly's frame in various power levels. All are controlled by a switch mounted on the handlebars, and can pull you, your ATV, and your buddy's ATV out of just about anything. Rated at 2500 lbs, the RT25 and XT25 models both include roller fairleads, 12V DC motor, and are CE certified. The XT25 uses Synthetic rope, while the RT25 utilizes wire rope. Another popular aftermarket accessory for the Grizzly is an aftermarket ATV lift kit. Used when running taller than stock "monster" tires and excellent equipment to have when trudging through mud holes left by vehicular ATVs, these kits aren't too difficult to install, usually requiring only hand tools and an open area of the garage. Be careful with these, though, because as they raise the center of gravity on your Yamaha, they can seriously reduce your ability to hill climb, traverse slopes, and corner at speed.
